Whether it be navigating the child welfare system to access needed services, ensuring safety in your home, subsidy questions, legal rights and responsibilities, or assistance deciding best next steps, Loryn Smith Consulting is just a phone call away.


Available Services for Parents:

  • Intake/Assessment via phone/ZOOM: will assess safety concerns in the home; consultation will assess safety risk, provide safety standards for the home, documentation needed to qualify for a higher level of service and available resources. A report with recommendations will be provided.

  • Intake/Assessment via phone/ZOOM reviewing the rights of foster parents and how to get the child in your home the services/outcomes they need.

  • In-home consultation to assess safety mechanisms in place, recommendations for additional safety measures, review of child’s history and current documentation to aid in accessing a higher level of service. A report with recommendations will be provided. Mileage not included.

  • 3 hour consultation, weekly check-ins via text or e-mail, emergency access to calls to discuss situation and get immediate recommendations – 3 months. If phone calls exceed one hour a week for the 3 months, additional fees will be assessed.

  • Subsidy increase assistance; help identifying amount child qualifies for, documentation needed, creation of request letter, and advocacy with post placement unit.

  • Review of Dependency Case and recommendations moving forward to ensure child’s needs are met. Written report will provide recommendations, recommended services, and steps for accessing those services.

  • Bonding and Assessment Studies and Reports.

  • Expert witness court testimony.

  • Preparation for foster/adoptive parents providing court testimony, recommendations, and practice sessions.
